Slightly Bad Girls

Are you wondering yet? Well we all have a little "Bad Girl" in all of us. Some more than others.

This is the topic of my next Growth Group. It is based on a book called Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible: Flawed Women Loved by a Flawless God by Liz Curtis Higgs. It is a study on 5 women in the Bible, Sarah and Hagar, Rebekah, Leah and Rachel. So far I am still reading about Sarah and Hagar...what an interesting relationship!

This group has gained a lot of attention from our Pastor, Sam. He claims that he would like to join the group (too bad it is a womens only group :)), I told him that I would loan him the book when we were finished. I am very excited about this group, and here is why....TWENTY women signed up for my group!!!!!! I am very excited to meet this bunch of women and get to know them! I am considering doing groups on the other 2 books in this series too Bad Girls of the Bible and Really Bad Girls of the Bible.

Goodbye and Hello!

Just finished up a Growth Group with a great bunch of women. The group was great and I am glad that I got to know 3 more women/mom's a little better. To all you Moms, please remember that you are not alone, we are all in this together!
Now, I have a month off before the start of the next round of Groups. I considered taking a break but decided to go ahead and lead another one. I like leading these groups, although I suppose I should take a break one of these times.
The next group I am leading is on a book called Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs. I am hoping that there is a good turn out for this one. I will let you all know! I do know that our Pastor wants to be in it....too bad it is a women's only group!
